Interview with a Veteran

I interviewed a veteran from my church. His name is Bill. I asked him six questions and he answered all of them. His answers were short but simple and easy to understand. The first question that I asked was this: “What job did you do?” He said that he was a carpenter. Another question was, “did you have a family?” He said, “Yes.” I also asked if it was hard to leave his family. He said no, it wasn’t that hard. Then I asked how long he served. He answered that it was 12 years. He traveled to the Philippines. My last question was, “what was your rank?” He answered that he was a staff sergeant.

Trip to Florida

On Friday, November 19, me and my family went to Florida. We stayed at my mom and my dad’s friend’s house. It was a nice house with big rooms and a pool in the back of the house. Behind the house was a lake. It was so beautiful especially at night. On Saturday we went kayaking. Mr. Steve and I went across the lake. After kayaking we went to a big mall. Then, when we came back from the mall, I had fun playing with their dog Mandy. Then on Sunday we when to a church that was vary different from ours. In their church, they have a band and some of the members are teenagers.

Disney World

On Monday we went to Disney World. Disney World has 4 separate parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studio, and Animal Kingdom. We spent two days at Disney World. The first day, we went to Magic Kingdom. We saw a lot of cool things, like the parades, and took pictures with Disney characters like Stitch and Pinocchio. At night they had another parade and all the characters and cars were blinking with electric lights. Then at 10:00 o’clock we watched as Cinderella’s castle lit up with lights and the whole castle was changing colors. Then we watched fireworks and during the fireworks on a person dressed like Tinkerbell flew in the sky on a zip line connected from the top of the castle to the one of the hotels. We think the zip line was over two miles long. On Tuesday we went to Epcot. It was educational. It was fun to see different parts of the countries around the lake, including Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, America, Japan, Morocco, France, United Kingdom and Canada. In each country they had gift shops, and restaurants that served food common to that country. At night we saw fireworks that reflected on the lake. It was a good fun vacation, and the best vacation I ever had.

If I were Running for an Office

If I was running for an office I would run for sheriff. I think being sheriff would be a fun job. I would be in charge of the other officers. I would also get to drive fast when I’m at work. When I’m working, I don’t have to wait in traffic. Although there will be parts of my job that were not fun, like working all night during an emergency. Even though some parts are not fun, I still think that this job is pretty cool. It would be the job I would actually enjoy doing, and it will be right for me as I like speed.                     

Little Fuzzy Kitten Going to the Vet

We wondered if she was pregnant. My mom took the little fuzzy kitten to the vet to get her spayed. My mom asked if the little fuzzy kitten was pregnant or not, and they said no. That was a relief, but not for the little fuzzy kitten, as she still got spayed. Then mom brought the little fuzzy kitten home. She had to stay in my mom’s bathroom for a couple of days. But she didn’t stay still, she wanted to play and run around. When the fuzzy kitten got moved to my sister’s room, she started to jump on stuff, which she wasn’t suppose to do. Then my sister came up and told my mom that the kitten’s stitches came undone. My mom took little kitten to the vet. Then they got home and left her in a carrier so that she will not do more damage to herself. Today I was supposed to go to the orthodontist to get my x-ray done, when my sister came up and said that little kitten’s stitches were undone again. This time it was so bad that we could see what was inside of her. So then my mom rescheduled my appointment for 2:15 o’clock today, and after she did that she took the little kitten to the vet and they glued her together.         

Poor Little Fuzzy Kitten

At 9:00 o’clock, my dad went outside to help a neighbor, and a little fuzzy kitten decided to go into the real world. At 9:30 my dad returned, but without the little fuzzy kitten. Then the poor little fuzzy kitten spent the night in her night mare while everyone was sleeping. We did not know she was in the dark and cold night. In the morning at 6:00 o’clock, I heard the strangest noises from outside. My sister, my dad, and I all heard the same noises, and then my sister said that she saw the little fuzzy kitten outside with a black cat. My dad went to get the little fuzzy kitten, and when he brought her in the house she was scared, and she had a scratch on her forehead.

Positives and Negatives in TV, Movies, Video Games

TV, movies, and video games can be negative and positive. The TV show Veggie Tales can teach you good lessons that will help you in life. You can get a lot of exercise playing a Wii games that have a lot of moving around, but with most video games you just sit on the couch and use your thumbs. You should take breaks if you play video games for 30 minutes or more. If you don’t, then it can affect you really bad. A boy played video games all day and end up in the emergency room. Because he played too much video games, he had a heart attack.   

Dentists are Not Bad

Three days ago I went to the dentist. I had two cavities filled. One was on the bottom jaw on the left side, and the other one was on the top. They give me four shots to numb my mouth. After they were done I couldn’t feel anything until the next day. My mouth is still sore I can’t open my mouth really wide, but my dentist said that it will go away soon. After 2 days I went there again to get my teeth cleaned. It hurt because my mouth was still sore. But afterwords we went shopping, which is my favorite hobby.         

Difference Between Dentists

At first I was terrified to go to the dentist in America because I had a bad experience in Russia with dentists. In Russia, if you had to get your tooth pulled or have fillings they won’t numb your mouth. And then I came to America and I had five cavities, too teeth that had to be pulled, and one root canal that had to be done. When I found out about that, I went to the bathroom and tried to pull the tooth. But then I went, and it wasn’t that bad, but I still don’t like when my mouth is sore afterwords. That’s why you should take good care of your teeth. If you don’t you could get sick, and then you’ll wish that you took good care of your teeth.

Motivation in Music

Today was a really busy day. I had to finish my school and go to some where else from 1:00 to 3:00 o’clock. But I was listening to music and that got me motivated and I was working faster then I usually do. One of my favorite singer is Russian and his name is TIMATI.  He is a raps that raps in Russian and English to. And in some of his songs you would hear a familiar voices. Sometimes in his songs it would mention his nickname is “Black Star” I think that he is an amazing singer  and have a lots of cool cars and also, he is  good at dancing. He also has won a lot of awards on MTV.

Shopping

Tomorrow I’m hoping to go to the mall. I think it will be so much fun and I get to spend time with friends.  I usually don’t  like to go places because I get bored but this is so fun.  My mom said if I finish my school then I can go so I’m trying so hard to finish. Because shopping is one of my favorite things to do it is fun and can be silly. And the other thing we going to do there is a scavenger hunt. Scavenger hunts are so cool, you get a list of things to find and then you go and take a picture of the thing on the list. And then you see who won. And after wards you hang out with friends

My Heroes

I have three heroes I’m looking up to. They are my dad, mom, and Ticklish Princess. When they are in a tough situation, they can find their way out. I wish I was like that, because then I will find peace in my heart, and will be happier, and nothing will stop my happiness. Whenever someone needs help in their life, they will always listen to their problems and then give them good advice. Whenever someone hurts you or your feelings they can protect you. That’s why I want to be just like them.   

Happy Day

Today I went to church. I thought that I would be lonely since my friends Ticklish Princess and Beanie Baby weren’t there. But then I saw Mister Amazing and I didn’t fell so lonely any more. We talked about sports. His favorite sport is football and he is really good at it. He is a good friend to me. When I came to America he and his brother Jizzel his good friend Mister Angry Pants were my first guy friends. Sometimes they are really funny and they were really nice to me when I was in a rough situation. I can’t forget my memories that we had, and funny moments and we still do.

The Biggest Challenge

Coming to America was the biggest challenge I ever faced in my entire life. I had to give up my friends, and my teachers, and some other people that I loved. At first I didn’t want to go and see people cry because I was leaving. They loved me so much that I was like their daughter and they were my family. Then I had to make a decision and I thought in my head, if I stay in Russia I will not have a family that loves me so much, that is going through a lots of trouble to get me in a loving home. Then I decided to go to America. Some people didn’t like my decision but I didn’t listen to them because it is not their life it is my life, and I wanted to be with to be with Ticklish Princess and my family, and I love them so much.

Jump Style

I’m planning to learn how to do jump style. Jump style is a style of dancing that you have to practice every day or you will forget every thing that you learned.

At first when you start you will not be good at it and if you dance for a while your legs will get really sore. When learning jump style dancing, it will help you to draw a square on the floor. You need to stay in the square while you dance.

It is really hard to do, but if you take time and practice you will learn it as you go.

There is a duo jump where two people hold hands. If you do it wrong then you can be really badly injured.

Don’t try it until you know how to jump style really well.

2004 Beslan School Hostages

September 1, 2004 was distinct. It was the first day of the school year. Russian people hold a ceremony to celebrate that day every year. But something horrible happened that day. School number one in the rural North Ossetia town of Beslan was attacked by terrorists. As the people were gathering, they didn’t know that the school was abundant with bombs. When they went inside the school, a horde of Ingush and Chechen terrorists were waiting for them. They detained about 1,200 people hostage and took custody of them in the school gym; some fathers were killed. The gym was filled with bombs. If someone tried to escape the terrorists would bomb the entire school. Then the terrorists said they would shoot anyone who moves, and crying babies and their mothers would be shot. It degraded on the third day.Two explosions set off allowing some of the hostages to vacate the school. That made the terrorists angry, and they set fire, causing the Russian military to fire back in a hectic response. Then the Russian military went in the school and freed some people. At least 385 were killed and nearly 800 more hurt.

I was really sad, because I was celebrating the same holiday at my school on that day. When it showed on the news everyone was so sad because of what had happened. And now every one still remembers what happened. And I still remember it to! It was so horrible that it is so hard to forget.

The Picnic Day

Tomorrow I’m going to the picnic with my family. My dad’s company invited the whole family to this picnic. And Dad said that we can bring Beanie Baby with us. There will be free cotton candy and a lot of fun. And we will get to meet new people from my dad’s work, and their children. That is so fun sometimes if they’re nice to you and you are nice to them. That how people should treat each other and show some affection to one another.

Naz Cafe

This Friday, I and Ticklish Princess might go to Beanie Baby’s house. This thing that we will go to is called the Naz Café. We usually go there once a month to spend some time with friends and play games. We always have a great time together and we like doing that. I hope that we go and have a great time.

Indian Powwow

Tomorrow I and Ticklish Princess and Beanie Baby will go to an Indian Powwow, where Indians dance by the fire and make weird noises. I apparently don’t like that. But I’m going to see my second cousins if they go. They are really funny and I like to spend a lot of time with them. They always know how to cheer up a person if she is in a bad mood.

Day at the Bible Quizzing

Today I’m hoping to finish my school and then go to Beanie Baby’s house to do Bible Quizzing. I’m going to be there for two hours. But the fun thing is that I will be spending time with my friends. The other thing fun about Bible Quizzing is that you sit on the pads and the quizmaster reads you a question and then you jump up to tell the answer. If you are the first to jump, you have thirty seconds to tell the answer in the book. You also have to study hard every day to know the answers and memory verses. You get points for correct answers. If you answer four questions you get extra points. You also get points for your church and by the end of the year they see who got the most points and then they give out trophies. It is so fun to be in Bible Quizzing.

The Fun Day

Today I had fun with two of my friends, Ticklish Princess and Beanie Baby. I love my friends they are funny and can cheer you up when you are down and sad. That’s what friends should do for you and you do the same for them. That’s what friends are for and you should respect them. I had fun when we went shopping, and we were laughing and talking and trying things on. We were there from 12:00 to 5:00 and that was the fun time we spent together. It was like we were separated for a whole summer we didn’t hang out a lot but now we are back together and I’m happy.
